DAMAC to build tropical islands in Dubailand with jungle river and waterfall

Ever wanted to live by the water while still being in the middle of the desert?

Dubai-based real estate developer DAMAC Properties has announced plans for a project that promises to transform the landscape of Dubailand, the in-land community that’s also home to residential areas such as The Villa, Villanova, Serena, Al Waha, Mudon and Arabella.

The new development, DAMAC Islands, will feature six distinct island destinations, each inspired by tropical locales from around the world.

Located close to the desert, DAMAC Islands aims to offer a mix of “natural” beauty and luxury living. The project will include plenty of features designed to make you feel like you’re on a tropical getaway.

These include facilities like an aqua dome, a large aqua park, a waterfall lagoon and a jungle river with a swing, among other attractions.

According to the project details, DAMAC Islands will cater to residents seeking a peaceful retreat away from the city’s fast-paced lifestyle, while still being conveniently close to key areas.

While you’ll probably be dealing with some serious rush-hour traffic on the way to the office and back, the development is located near well-known landmarks like DAMAC Hills, Al Qudra Lake and The Sevens Stadium, as well as major highways, offering easy access to the rest of the city and Al Maktoum International Airport. You’re also not too far from Global Village.

With plans to integrate green spaces and water-based attractions, the development is positioning itself as a premium residential community for those who want to enjoy the nature, without sacrificing convenience.

DAMAC has emphasised that the project will be ideal for families.

While still in its early stages, DAMAC Islands is set to be one of the most unique residential projects in Dubai. Stay tuned.
