Dubai Land Department Collaborates to Support Fazza International Championships for People of Determination 2025
The Dubai Land Department (DLD), in partnership with the Dubai Club for People of Determination and the Dubai Sports Council, has announced an innovative real estate collaboration to sponsor the highly anticipated Fazza International Championships for People of Determination 2025. Set to commence on February 1, the event is held under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council and the Higher Committee for the Protection of the Rights of People of Determination.
The collaboration features major real estate contributors, including HRE Real Estate Development as the strategic sponsor. Diamond sponsorship comes from prominent players such as Ellington Properties, Beyond Properties, Prescott Real Estate, and Azizi Developments, while Arista joins as the gold sponsor.
This initiative showcases DLD’s dedication to fostering partnerships between the public and private sectors to promote inclusivity, sustainability, and solidarity throughout Dubai. By uniting various stakeholders, the collaboration aims to empower People of Determination and strengthen Dubai’s position as a global leader in humanitarian and sports initiatives.
The Fazza International Championships 2025 will include four significant tournaments, attracting participants from more than 70 nations:
- 16th Fazza International Para Athletics Grand Prix: Welcoming 1,000 athletes.
- First Fazza International Swimming Championship: Featuring 500 competitors.
- 16th Fazza International Para-Badminton Championship: Hosting 300 athletes.
- 9th Fazza Para Archery World Ranking Tournament: Accommodating 300 participants.
This multi-disciplinary event is a celebration of resilience and inclusion, offering athletes a platform to compete and excel. Over its 16-year history, the championships have become a landmark event, drawing global attention and participation from athletes, spectators, and media alike.
At the press conference held at the DLD headquarters, His Excellency Eng. Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, Director General of DLD, remarked, “This partnership underscores our vision to enhance the private sector’s role in sustainable community development. Collaborative efforts like these enable us to integrate the principles of empowerment and inclusivity, paving the way for People of Determination to succeed and make meaningful contributions to society.”

Thani Juma Berregad, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, emphasized the UAE’s commitment, stating, “The Fazza Championships highlight the nation’s dedication to People of Determination.
