The department will promote Dubai’s real estate sector as a premier global investment destination

Dubai Land Department Forms Strategic Alliance to Boost Global Real Estate Investments

Driven | Forbes Global Properties, a renowned and award-winning real estate brokerage in Dubai, has officially unveiled its inaugural industry report titled “Dubai on the Verge of Tier-1 City Recognition.” The announcement was made alongside the introduction of a new industry index during a roundtable event on Monday, May 5, at The Arts Club in Dubai.

In a strategic move to draw global investors to Dubai’s expanding real estate landscape, the Dubai Land Department (DLD) has signed a collaboration agreement with MIE Events. This partnership aims to elevate Dubai’s visibility at the America Property Exhibition (APEX) in Miami and deepen its engagement with influential global real estate players.

This alliance complements the department’s wider mission to bring more foreign direct investment (FDI) into Dubai. Through solid regulatory systems and institutional frameworks, Dubai continues to reinforce its image as a prime international real estate investment destination.

Majid Al Marri, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector at DLD, commented: “This agreement aligns with our continuous mission to position Dubai as a top-tier hub for real estate investment, both regionally and globally, by strengthening ties with key players in the industry.”

DLD to Champion Dubai’s Real Estate at International Forums

Under this newly signed agreement, DLD will promote the emirate’s real estate sector as a premier global investment opportunity. It will highlight Dubai’s advantages and streamline collaboration with investors and developers by simplifying official processes such as property registration, permit issuance, and transactional workflows—ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.

Al Marri further stated, “This collaboration marks a critical step towards realizing our objectives of increasing foreign investment, supporting sustainable growth, and cultivating a transparent, innovation-driven real estate ecosystem—aligned with the ambitious Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033.”

So far in 2024, Dubai has attracted approximately $14.24 billion in FDI, with real estate accounting for 14 percent of that amount. This underlines the sector’s increasing significance as a driving force behind the emirate’s economic advancement.

MIE Events to Promote Dubai’s Market Advantage Globally

MIE Events will take a leading role in hosting investment-centric events and workshops both inside the UAE and abroad. These initiatives will spotlight the benefits of investing in Dubai’s property sector. The firm will also support UAE-based developers attending the APEX event by offering platforms for project promotion and by guiding investors on legal and regulatory aspects to help them confidently navigate the Dubai market.

Additionally, MIE Events will compile periodic reports on Dubai’s real estate trends, coordinate site visits for international investors, and assist in organizing strategic forums and bilateral meetings aimed at fostering new business alliances.

Driving Sectoral Growth Through Strategic Investment Initiatives

DLD’s agreement with MIE Events is designed to achieve targeted, qualitative goals. These include widening its network of international partners, holding industry-specific discussion forums, and attracting leading participants from top real estate institutions around the world. These initiatives are intended to enhance knowledge-sharing and raise awareness among global investors about Dubai’s expanding real estate landscape.

This partnership also reflects DLD’s dedication to the UAE’s broader strategic vision—supporting sustainable real estate development by opening up to global opportunities. Through fostering an attractive investment climate, the initiative aims to draw in high-quality investors whose contributions will drive both the economic progress and social prosperity of the emirate.
