Developed in line with the Dubai 2040 Urban Plan, Expo Living is set to establish itself as a master community that connects residents to an innovative urban lifestyle
Emaar Properties and Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) have unveiled their new joint venture to develop Expo Living – a residential masterplan at Expo City Dubai – with Terra Heights marking its first residential phase.
This master community development, spanning 454,747 square metres, will feature 358,473 square metres of residential space as well as a 65,274-square-metre Dubai Expo Mall, which will house retail, dining, and leisure facilities.
The project aims to establish a community that connects its residents to local and global opportunities while living a balanced lifestyle at the centre of it all.
Inside Expo Living: The newest residential community by Emaar and DWTC
Expo Living is located within a 5-minute walk from Expo City and the Dubai Exhibition Centre, which is currently undergoing an AED 10 billion expansion.
The expansion will increase the exhibition space from 58,000 square metres to 180,000 square metres by 2031, establishing it as the region’s largest indoor exhibition and events destination.
“Expo Living reflects our focus on creating places where people can connect, grow, and thrive. Its location, right next to Expo City and minutes from Al Maktoum International Airport, puts residents in the centre of it all. Whether for work, travel, or leisure, everything is within easy reach. With well-planned amenities and a design that encourages community living, Expo Living makes balancing the fast pace of Dubai with moment of peace effortless,” Ahmed Al Matrooshi, Executive Director, Emaar Properties said.
Residents will also have access to key destinations, with Al Maktoum International Airport accessible within a 10-minute drive and Dubai Marina within 20 minutes.
Targeted at young professionals seeking connectivity and convenience in their living spaces, Expo Living will include parks, landscaped courtyards, and fitness facilities, in “true Emaar style,” the company said in a statement.
Residents will also have access to yoga deck, a mini-golf area, outdoor pools, a 1,000-square-metre clubhouse, and barbecue spaces, among many other amenities.
The development’s design prioritises green spaces, with parks and gardens interspersed throughout the residential areas. The community spaces aim to foster interaction among residents while maintaining access to urban facilities.
Amer Al Farsi, Acting Vice President of Real Estate Development at Dubai World Trade Centre, further explained that the development aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, stating it will “set a benchmark for connected and innovative urban living.”
“The joint venture between DWTC and Emaar Properties represents a significant step forward in expanding and enriching the vibrant, integrated community of Expo City Dubai. This flagship development, together with Dubai Exhibition Centre and Expo Village, aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan to create a premier residential community within this urban hub,” Al Farsi added.
