Expo City Dubai Unveils Al Waha: A New Residential Community Transforming Expo 2020 Pavilions
Expo City Dubai has introduced Al Waha, a cutting-edge residential project that repurposes former Expo 2020 country pavilions into 280 premium apartments and lofts.
Named after the distinctive Al Waha canopies surrounding the residences, the development features a selection of one and two-bedroom units, ideally situated near the city’s thriving business hub.
Ahmed Al Khatib, Chief Development and Delivery Officer, highlighted:
“Al Waha – signature residences by Expo City Dubai – marks a significant milestone in our master plan. This visionary project reflects Expo 2020’s commitment to fostering a connected, people-centric environment while establishing new benchmarks in sustainable urban living. These contemporary homes provide an exclusive, upscale lifestyle within a serene, private setting.
Each unit is designed with elegant high ceilings, superior-quality finishes, and private entrances, all seamlessly integrated with lush, tranquil courtyards. Conveniently located near dedicated underground parking and offering a peaceful retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle, these residences combine sophistication with exceptional connectivity. We take great pride in unveiling this next phase as Expo City continues its evolution into a key pillar of Dubai’s future.”

Pricing for Al Waha residences starts at AED 1.71 million for one-bedroom apartments, while two-bedroom lofts are available from AED 3.97 million, with project completion anticipated by late 2026. Additionally, investors have the opportunity to acquire entire buildings, each comprising 10-12 residences.
The properties are distinguished by floor-to-ceiling windows, exclusive underground parking, and access to state-of-the-art fitness and swimming facilities.
As part of Expo City’s master expansion plan, unveiled in October, the community is set to span 3.5 square kilometers, providing residences for 35,000 people and workspace for 40,000 professionals. Concurrently, construction is underway for other developments, including Expo Valley villas and apartments at Mangrove, Sky, and Sidr Residences.
Strategically positioned with direct metro and highway access, Al Waha offers seamless connectivity to both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, while also being conveniently located near the Dubai Exhibition Centre and Al Maktoum International Airport.
