The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has been awarded an intellectual property certificate for its inaugural industrial design: the solar-powered electric abra.
The UAE’s Ministry of Economy, responsible for granting intellectual property certificates, issued the recognition to RTA’s Marine Transport Department under the Public Transport Agency.
RTA officials noted that this certification fulfills several strategic goals, such as securing the authority’s exclusive rights, strengthening its leadership reputation, enabling licensing and franchising opportunities, and protecting vital assets.
